Four Ways to Split

Look at the letters between two vowels. VC/CV: two consonants — split between them (nap·kin). V/CV: one consonant — try splitting before it, vowel is long (ti·ger). VC/V: if that doesn't sound right, split after it, vowel is short (cam·el). C+le: the consonant before -le goes with it (ta·ble).

Examples: bubble → bub·ble  ·  planet → plan·et  ·  paper → pa·per

Mark the vowels (V) and consonants (C) between them. Split the word.
